Series 1 of record group 73-50 consists of records of fish rearing pond projects from the Fish Division of the Michigan Department of Conservation for the years 1927-1965. Includes correspondence, contracts, blueprints, newspaper clippings, and photographs regarding the construction of fish rearing ponds for trout, pike, and bass at various points across Michigan by state and private organizations. Includes rearing ponds at the following sites: Orangeville, New Troy, Summerville, Soo, Sullivan Creek, Houghton, Lake Gogebic, Hillsdale, Otter River, Sidnaw, Silver Creek, Au Gres River, Ionia, Pine River, Pine Creek, Manistee, Pere Marquette River, Pigeon River, St. Joseph River, and Slagle Creek.
